about us

Britain’s Got Reggae (BGR) is a national UK competition that promotes the wealth of reggae talent the UK has to offer. We have some fantastic unearthed grass-roots talent in the UK that are unrecognised because of the lack of opportunities that are available. Winners of the competition have performed at Rototom Sunsplash in Spain and supported arena selling artists such as Chronixx and Kofee

Our successes include winners performing at Rototom Sumsplash in Benicàssim Spain, the largest Reggae Festival in Europe.  Claire Angel supported Chronixx in 2017, again her and Misa West supported Chronixx & Koffi in 2019.  Granny Award Winners Morgan Heritage performed at our event in 2018 along with Kabaka Pyramid.  We have built a large forllwoing on our Facebook page of over 160,000 followers and have a reponsive audience.

Britain’s Got Reggae Experience

Outside of the competition we have the Britain’s Got Reggae Experience, where organisations can reach out to us when they need a cohort of artist to fill slots at their event. We also reach out to carnivals, festivals and promoters for opportunities for our up and coming artists.  We will promote the mainstream artists to our fast growing 150,000 followers and we will offer sale of ticket support.

Education

We provide masterclasses for our artists with organisations such as PRS & PPL collection agencies.  People within our team deliver sessions on copyright and intellectual property and provide vocal and performance sessions to help with the development of the artists.

Reggae Army

Reggae Army is a platform for young singers to consider reggae as their choice of music.  We understand that we need the younger artists to embrace the reggae culture with the aim to continue the legacy.
